Plantar Fasciitis
Plantar Fasciitis is one of the most common causes of heel pain. It occurs when the plantar fascia, the thick band of tissue that runs along the bottom of the foot and connects the heel to the toes, becomes irritated or inflamed. Many people notice sharp pain with their first steps in the morning or after long periods of standing, walking, or exercise.
Managing plantar fasciitis often focuses on reducing inflammation and supporting tissue recovery. Cold therapy may help calm inflammation and ease heel pain, especially after activity or during flare-ups. At other times, gentle heat can help relax tight muscles in the foot and calf, improve circulation, and increase flexibility before stretching or movement. Alternating between cooling and moist heat can provide a simple, non-invasive way to support comfort while the foot heals.
