A Note From Our President
Welcome to Polar Products Inc. We are a family-owned and operated business specializing in the design and manufacture of innovative, high-quality, competitively priced body cooling and hot and cold therapy systems.
Polar Products has 40 years of experience cooling people in diverse applications, including industrial safety, construction, emergency services, athletics and fitness, the military and people with medical heat-sensitivity. We are proud to manufacture the most comprehensive and complete line of body cooling products in the world.
Our reusable hot and cold therapy products provide natural, drug-free relief from pain and are used by hospitals, therapists, doctors, sports teams, and individuals worldwide! In addition to our excellent products, we strive to ensure complete customer satisfaction. At Polar, we believe that the best measure of our success is the loyalty of our customers. The Polar Story
Polar Products Inc. began in 1984 as small ice pack manufacturer with a patent on a unique, Soft Ice® pack. That line of Soft Ice® packs are still being manufactured and are still outstanding.
In 2000, Owner Partner, William Graessle, a University of Michigan educated engineer with over 35 years of experience in the corporate business world, decided to leave that world with a desire to own and operate a small business that manufactured products that made a difference in people's lives. Bill purchased the small, failing business with intent to dramatically expand the product line.
In 2006, Jacob Graessle joined Polar. He worked through every job from the factory floor to the front office and in 2020 became co-owner and president.
Over the last 25 years, Polar has grown by leaps and bounds and has become a leading manufacturer worldwide of body cooling, cold water immersion and hot/cold therapy products. Polar now has 4 economically successful active patents for unique products that help people and two more on the way.
Our Active Ice® Cold Therapy Systems lead the US in after surgery, drug-free pain management while also promoting healing. Our advanced programmable control has set the standard for safe, doctor directed, utilization of cold therapy. Our approach of engineering products to effectively meet individual needs has resulted in over 15 body specific pads designed to optimize effective therapy and comfort.
Our Body Cooling Systems provide optimum cooling solutions designed for the vastly diverse cooling requirements, needs and climates of our customers. Polar is the only manufacturer of cooling garments to take this approach, which allows customers to make educated and informed choices from six different technologies, resulting in optimal performance for their unique needs. Applications include cooling garments for people who suffer from heat intolerance due to medical conditions, cooling surgeons in hot operating rooms, workers in sweltering factory or field conditions, military personnel, and athletes and mascots.
Our patented and innovative cold water immersion system, the Polar Life Pod®, helps athletes, fire departments, EMTs, factory and field workers and many more to recover from heat exhaustion. It is uniquely designed to be available whenever and wherever needed.
