Continuous active cooling that works as long as you need it — no pack swaps, no warm-up, no stopping.
The Cool Flow® Personal Cooling Vest Systems don't rely on a fixed amount of cooling capacity. Instead, they continuously circulate ice-chilled water from an insulated cooler through more than 50 feet of tubing built directly into the vest. As long as there's ice in the cooler, it keeps cooling. It's active, sustained, and genuinely effective even in sustained heat.
Cool Flow® personal vest systems come in two vest styles. Both use the same circulating water technology and deliver the same level of cooling. The difference is in how they fit.
Cool Flow® Fitted Vest (CFF)
The fitted vest is constructed from a high-quality stretch fabric that conforms closely to the body. It's designed for a snug, contoured fit, which means the cooling tubing stays in firm contact. Available in sizes S through 3XL, it can be worn on its own, under clothing, under a lead apron, or under an air filtration suit. One color: navy blue.
Best for: people who want a precise, consistent fit; those wearing the vest under other garments or PPE; situations where a clean, minimal profile matters.
Cool Flow® Adjustable Vest (CFA)
The adjustable vest uses side adjustments at the chest and waist to fit a range of body sizes within each size range. This makes it a practical choice when the vest will be shared between users, when body size varies significantly, or when you need flexibility without ordering multiple vests. Available in your choice of 97% cotton/3% spandex or breathable nylon, in paired sizes S/M through 2XL/3XL.
Best for: shared-use environments or anyone who prefers flexibility in fit.
Both the fitted and adjustable vests are available paired with either a standard ice cooler or the Arctic Chiller unit. Here's how they differ:
Ice Cooler Systems (starting at $795)
The cooler-based system is the most portable and flexible option. Fill the insulated cooler with water and ice, connect the vest, and you're ready to go. The system runs on AC power (with an optional 12V DC adapter for vehicle use). Choose between a 9-quart cooler with carrying handle or a 15-quart wheeled cooler with retractable handle.
Simple. Portable. Just fill the cooler with ice and water.
Arctic Chiller Systems (starting at $1,545)
The Arctic Chiller eliminates ice entirely. A 1/10 HP electric chiller unit maintains water temperature precisely between 40°F and 70°F — set it and forget it. The digital LED display lets you dial in your exact preferred temperature, and the anti-freeze system ensures the heat exchanger won't freeze up. No filling, refilling, or emptying ice water. Just fill with water, set the temperature, and go.
The chiller runs on 120V AC (60 Hz standard; 120/240V 50/60 Hz models available — contact us). Optional 3-tier utility cart available for facility use.
Best for: fixed workstations, long-duration use, facilities where a reliable ice supply is impractical, or anyone who wants precise temperature control without the ongoing logistics of ice management.
Cool Flow® personal vest systems are used across a wide range of environments and applications. If sustained, reliable cooling matters to you — for health reasons, for safety, or simply to stay effective in extreme heat — there's a system here for you.
People managing heat-sensitive medical conditions (including multiple sclerosis, hypohidrosis, spinal cord injury, and other conditions that affect the body's ability to regulate temperature) often find circulating water cooling to be the most effective option available, providing reliable relief that pack vests can't match in duration or consistency.
Industrial and construction workers in high-heat environments, enclosed spaces, or full PPE find that cool flow systems keep working when nothing else will. The vest can be worn under standard protective gear without interference.
Military personnel and government employees in heat-intensive environments have relied on Cool Flow® for decades. Polar holds a GSA contract and has a long history of serving government and defense customers.
Athletes and endurance competitors training or competing in extreme heat who need active pre- or during-activity cooling.
Anyone who simply gets too hot and needs reliable, sustained relief — whether at work, at rest, or on the go.
