1. ADJUSTABLE, CUSTOM FIT
It is important for cooling vests to fit snug to the body for optimal cooling. This cooling vest has adjustable hook and loop straps at the chest, waist and shoulders for a snug, comfortable and customized fit.

2. CONVENIENT AND EASY TO WEAR

Once the cooling vest has been adjusted for size, it is easy to put on every time with the zipper-pull front. The clean design (with no logos or visible pack pockets!) is available in several sizes. Wear the vest over clothing or discreetly underneath.

3. COMFORTABLE 100% COTTON

The cooling vest shell is constructed of durable and machine washable 100% cotton twill.

4. KOOL MAX® COOLING PACKS

Kool Max® frozen water-based cooling packs require access to a freezer and offer the highest level of cooling energy. These reusable packs deliver comfortable cooling for up to 3-4 hours. It takes more energy to charge these packs in a freezer and in return, the packs offer greater cooling energy than Cool58® cooling packs. (Please note: cooling times are estimates and will vary depending on climate, body metabolism and activity.) The different vest sizes include eight (8) to twelve (12) 5" x 6" packs. 5. INSULATED PACK POCKETS

Packs fit into insulated pockets inside the cooling vest. The pockets have a comfortable all-cotton fabric to protect the skin and an insulated outer composite fabric to direct the cooling energy toward the body. Temperature may also be adjusted for comfort by increasing or decreasing the number of clothing layers beneath the vest or the number of packs used.

6. VARIABLE WEIGHT

Weight may be adjusted by varying the number of cooling packs used. Need a lighter weight vest? You don't have to use all of the packs! The use of separate, individual packs allows the number of cooling packs used to be customized for each person's preference and size. Some people find that using just three packs down the spine works well, resulting in a vest that weighs just 1.5 lbs.! Others prefer all of the packs except the two on the upper chest. Our design allows many options!

7. PATENT PENDING SPINAL COOLING

Pack pockets are placed strategically down the spine for optimal cooling. (Patent pending design!) The location of desired cooling is easily controlled by which pack pockets are used.

How do Kool Max® water-based cooling packs work?

Kool Max® frozen water-based cooling packs require access to a freezer and offer the highest level of cooling energy. It takes more energy to charge these packs in a freezer and in return, the packs offer greater cooling energy than Cool58® cooling packs.
These reusable packs deliver comfortable cooling for up to 3-4 hours depending on environment, activity, and personal metabolism. (Please note: cooling times are estimates and will vary depending on climate, body metabolism and activity.)
Packs are non-toxic and non-flammable.
Works in any climate - extreme heat and humidity are no problem! The cooling performance is not impacted by humidity or outside temperature.

If you think you are in between two sizes, order the next size up to accommodate the cooling packs.
Make sure the cold packs are in the pockets when trying on the vest.

How to find your size

This vest is adjustable at the shoulders, chest and waist. Therefore, it will fit a large range of sizes. These measurements may help determine the best size for you.

To measure the chest and waist circumference: First, wrap a soft measuring tape around the fullest part of your chest and under your armpits, making sure to keep the tape parallel to the ground. This determines your chest measurement. Then wrap a measuring tape around your natural waistline (usually across your belly button), making sure to keep the tape parallel to the ground. See where the larger of the two measurements fall on the size chart. Please note: If you think you are in between two sizes, order the next size up to accommodate the cooling packs.

To measure the vest length: Hold the tape measure at the highest point of your shoulder. Look straight ahead and pull it down to your natural waist. Mark this measurement on the tape measure with your thumb. Please note: When in doubt, order the next size up to accommodate the cooling packs and to prevent the vest from looking too short.

Need to exhange sizes?

You can exchange the size of your vest within 30 days of recieving your order. Polar will ship the new size back free of charge. Depending on the size you may need to purchase additional cooling packs.

You may wish to add the following accessories to your kit:

Upgrade your cooling neck wrap to a Kool Max® Cooling Neck & Upper Spine Wrap (#KMNCEX), which uses three (3) 3" x 9" and one (1) 4.5" x 7" Kool Max® Packs.
Add a pair of Kool Max® Cooling Ankle Wraps (#KMA Pair). Wraps use four (4) 3" x 6" Kool Max® Packs and can be worn on either the foot or ankle.
Our stylish Cool Comfort® Straw Hat (#CCSH) keeps your head cool while the wide brim protects your face from the sun.
Add a Polar Cooler to carry your packs! Large soft-sided cooler measures 7" x 14" x 12" and will carry multiple sets of Kool Max® Packs for vests and accessories.

Details: The vest has plenty of cooling holding up to 12 ice packs at once. I would purchase a smaller size next time as it is larger than I thought it would be. I previously had the fashion vest which was great as well. These are a must for desert living in the summertime.

Overheating is a major problem for him and this product works great and has made his life more comfortable and able to participate in activities he would otherwise not have done. Details: I've only used the wrist bands and neck band. They cool well but the foam on the wrist bands tore the 1st time I used them.
