Details: Purchased for rotator cuff surgery recovery. Simple to use. Stays cold for a long time. You just need to sit and use the remote control. I hate taking pain meds and having this system continuously icing me has effectively taken the place of the awful nauseating pain medication. Works like a charm.

Details: The Polar Active Ice 3.0 Universal Cold Therapy solution has been very easy to use and an active part of my post rotator cuff surgery recovery. It is very light weight and adjustable vs the heavier ice packs that you buy and strap on or receive after surgery. Details: My husband is using this machine following knee replacement. It has really helped with swelling and pain, reducing his need for narcotics. I love that I can just put 6 frozen water bottles in the cooler, rather than fooling with bags of ice. I also bought the knee wrap for the pad, which makes putting it on and off a breeze. Details: I had a total knee replacement and needed a way to ice it. So now instead of having to go get an ice pack use it for 10 minutes then put it back in freezer and repeat. I just wrap my knee set the timers and let it work. I set it for 10 minutes on and 10 minutes off. This is a must have.

Details: I recommend this due to the fact this will help you immensely with reducing the swelling and pain. I suggest to also process the kneepad wrapping that goes over the cold pad that you use around a knee. The pad comes with a strap but the knee pad over it does the job. I also suggest to Add the timer and to use frozen water bottles instead of using ice and having to empty the unit. This will save you much time and with the time or you know the device is being used when you want it to be used.

Details: I bought this to make icing easier after knee-replacement surgery. The timer makes it possible to ice off-and-on all day without struggling to get a new ice pack from the freezer every couple of hours. It’s pricey, but it is such a great product that I’m happy to pay the person who came up with this fantastic contraption every penny. Every household should have one for the random twisted ankle or banged-up shoulder.

I was recently in a wreck on my Harley and broke off 11 ribs. This machine is helping tremendously. Tip for ice. Instead of ice cubes, double the water and add 9ea 16oz frozen water bottles.
