Details: I underwent 2 knee replacements within the last 6 months. During the 1st few weeks of recovey after the 1st procedure I was icing with bags of ice. Not only wasthat an incredible hassle but it was barely effective. After a few weeks a friend who is a marethon runner loaned me her Polar Ice system and it helped immensely. So much so that I bought my own system and am now using it during my 2nd recovery. Highly recommend this product it has been a life saver for me during my rehab!

Details: I had knee surgery and we bought this product so we didn't have to worry about keeping ice packs cold. This worked great we added frozen bottles and it would keep the bladder cold for 8 to 10 hours.

Details: this is a replacement for original that lasted through a shoulder cuff repair and a total knee replacement and the beginning of a second knee replacement before it leaked . If this new one last as long as the original I will be very satisfied . this system is much better than using icepacks that they send home with you . a bit expensive but did the job for us

Details: This is the 2nd universal bladder I''ve purchased. My prior one has seen me through multiple surgeries and I finally wore it out. Great relief from the cold therapy enabling me to use much fewer pain medications. Love it!

Details: My husband and I have both used this product after shoulder surgery. Used with the shoulder wrap, it provides continuous cold packs all around the shoulder without the nuisance or discomfort of frozen ice packs. I mistakenly stored our system in the attic and some of the rubber parts disintegrated in the hot Texas summer, but I happily bought a replacement to use for yet another upcoming shoulder surgery. We love this unit!

Details: I had shoulder surgery and my doctor use to rent these pieces of equipment in effort to reduce pain and swelling. A couple years later my spouse had knee replacement and so I purchased this piece equipment and she received incredible relief, that ice could not. I recently suffered a whip lash type of back injury and this device was superior in the length of time it took to return my back to substantial reduction in pain.

Details: My husband had knee surgery and in subsequent visits to the physical therapist greatly benefited from sessions with their ice therapy system. Home solutions like ice bags or freezer gel packs did not yield the same results and relief. Internet research led us to the Polar Products Active Ice System. The active ice system provided a professional level of cold therapy in the comfort and convenience of our own home and was key in both quickly recovering from knee surgery and also providing cold therapy after exercise. It is a well-made, well-thought-out system. Easy to use, not drippy or messy like ice or gel packs, and very easy to operate. I recommend to anyone recovering from surgery or suffering from chronic knee inflammation. I have recommended this system to everyone I know who has had, or is about to have knee surgery.
