Details: Had knee replacement on July1. I purchased this product based on a recommendation from the PT. It is great. Gets cold fast and stays cold. Best think is being about to use .5L water bottles as the cooling medium. I put in 6 frozen bottles and use the machine around 7 in the morning. I have a pools of 18 bottles to load up the machine. But on set is good for 5 or 6 treatments over about 12 to 14 hours. Also, you don't have to dump and refill the cooler. Just put in a new set of bottles. It's great. I use it several times over the course of the day and only have to use one set of bottles.

Details: This product is great and the sales associate was super helpful when I called in guiding me which knee compression to get for my TKR surgery which was the full circumference one. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is after a period of time the Velcro straps curl up on one end and doesn’t stick as well as it did when I first started using it. The clear plastic thing that attaches the hoses to the pad eventually stops sticking as well. Other than that it’s a great machine and has worked out well for me during my recovery period.

Details: As recommended, I ordered the flat rectangular pad to fully encompass my knee. I used this machine with frozen water bottles and 20 min on 20 min off cycles (with the timer) throughout much of my first week, decreasing the use week 2. It was a lifesaver - decreasing pain and swelling.

Details: Very satisfied with the quality, functionality and value price of this product. The durable water reservoir is very spacious and allows frozen water bottles instead of ice. We have found 3 frozen bottles gets the water cold enough even though the reservoir allows for up to 6 bottles. The pad is also well made and easy to wrap around the knee. The staff at Polar Products was very helpful to help me get what I needed.

Details: I recently had full knee replacement surgery. My daughter recommended that I purchase a Cold Therapy System as part of my recovery. After some research, I purchased the Polar Active Ice system. I spoke with Customer Service (they were VERY helpful) and purchased the Full Circumference Knee Pad as well. The product is terrific! My recovery is going really well! After the first two weeks our Doctor was very impressed by the limited amount a swelling I had due to the use of the machine. I highly recommend this product!

Details: Just had total knee replacement 1 week ago. This unit has been awesome! My hubby fills with frozen water bottles and it lasts for hours. The timer is a must-have. Set it and forget it. I do 20 min on and 40 min off but it is programmable for whatever you need. The wrap is easy to put on and take off without extra help for those potty breaks.

Details: The Polar Ice machine is the best, 5 frozen water bottles last from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM using it 6-8 times after exercise for knee replacement. Consistent cooling all around the knee unlike ice packs which don't conform to the knee and get warm.

Details: I purchased the Polar Active Ice for a total knee replacement after research. Highly recommended for the following reasons: Ease of use with no back and forth trips to the freezer or mess. I rotated frozen water bottles in the am and they lasted 24 hours. This allows me to keep the unit plugged in all day and ready for multiple use throughout the day into the evening. The timer is a game changer allowing for peace of mind and easy shut off of unit after cycle completes. Lastly the customer service was exceptional which sealed the deal for me.
