Details: This 16 Quart cooling reservoir has been an absolute lifesaver after my TKR surgery. I can NOT imagine trying to go through the long recovery without it. I got a very small unit from the hospital that is just OK but Polar is awesome!

Details: Hip replacement recovery is being helped greatly by the cold water system. Have used it for back pain, too. Your prep should include setting aside enough plastic bottles to freeze water in. This makes for neat and fast replacement.

Details: This unit does everything you could want from a cold therapy system. I am a tall man and the large rectangular pad covered my entire thigh. The motor control made so my thigh didn't get too cold. The timer is easy to operate and the ice cooler keeps the ice for a long time.

Details: I purchased the 15 quart cold therapy cooler system for my recovery after having a knee scope. The system worked wonderful. It was great not having to get up and down each time I was due to ice my knee. It was extremely quiet and easy to operate.

Details: My wife had knee replacement surgery and I purchased this unit with temp control which controls water flow. I freeze 6 1qt. Containers of ice and top off with cubes, it lasts all day. If you’re having this type of surgery don’t hesitate BUY IT! My wife is progressing incredibly fast, I had the same surgery and used rotating slushy ziplock bags. This system is great, just remember to depress the hose connection when disconnecting and reconnecting so you don’t cut the O-ring and you won’t have any leaks. The connections self seal so I just disconnect refill and she’s back in business ALL day! Great system, absolutely worth spending the little extra! Large pad does her whole leg! We returned from the hospital with the pad that is used there and it’s the universal one, it connects to this system but if we purchased that one we would have been disappointed.

Details: My daughter had an ACL repair on the 19th of November. When she had previous ACL surgeries, I worked for a plastic surgeon and we used Polar Coolers for all of our patients. The Polar Coolers reduced pain and swelling. When she had her previous surgeries, I was able to bring home a Polar Cooler for her to use. As my former boss has retired, I did not have the availability. I wanted her to be as comfortable as possible this time so I made the decision to purchase a Polar Cooler for this surgery. I made the decision to get the unit that didn''t cut off after 5 minutes based on other reviews. Note: We used big Blue Ice packs instead of ice and they worked really well.
